REGULAR APPOINTMENTS…The appointment when you get your initial appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes 90 minutes. You will then see us at regular intervals of 8 to 10 weeks apart for adjustments (which take 20 minutes on average). We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. It can be difficult to reschedule since appointments are made 8 weeks in advance.PAYMENT OPTIONS…Cost of treatment is based on each patient's prognosis, as well as the quality of care patients receive in our office. This will also be discussed at the initial exam prior to beginning any treatment, making the most of the valuable time you have set aside from your busy schedule to meet with us. The doctors have set aside one hour for your visit with NO FEE for this initial consultation. So that we may continue offering this as a COURTESY visit, please contact the office in advance should you need to reschedule. It is recommended that both parents attend this first visit if possible. In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:
INSURANCE…Assignment of benefits is sent directly to you, the subscriber. We will forward the appropriate forms to you to expedite filing your claim. We recommend contacting your employer or insurance company directly for any questions you may have regarding your benefits.Insurance BenefitsSome insurance companies will pay a portion of the orthodontic fee. Since there are countless agreements between insurance companies and patients, it is impossible for our office to keep track of all policies. Because of this variance, it is our office policy to have insurance benefits sent directly to our patients. In most cases orthodontic insurance benefits pay a portion of the total fee up to the lifetime maximum allowed by your policy. The lifetime maximum is released in installments, designated by your particular insurance policy, over the course of treatment. The installments are sent directly to you. Most insurance companies do not require monthly submissions after the initial claim has been processed. During your treatment we ask that you stay current with payment to our office as agreed in your contract, regardless of when you receive checks from your insurance company. Our office will send you an insurance claim form when the appliance placement appointments have been scheduled with our office. The form will include directions for completion and submission to your insurance company. The information needed by the insurance company in order to reimburse you is contained in the form. If you have any questions about your account with us, please feel free to contact our office at 610-374-4097. If you have specific questions about your orthodontic insurance benefits, please call your insurance carrier or your employer’s benefit office. Answers to these questions will be helpful:
